After graduating with a B.A. Economics in 1999, he began his career in financial services as a Management Trainee at First National Bank Alaska. After only three years on the job, he was promoted to Assistant Vice-President of Commercial Lending at the bank’s corporate headquarters.

As a banker, Steve worked on some of the largest commercial transactions across the state. He was frequently called upon to consult federal, state, and municipal agencies, tribal governments, and even a U.S. Senator, all before the age of 30.

In 2003, Steve was recruited by Edward Jones Investments to manage and serve as Lead Financial Advisor of a small branch in his home state of Tennessee. While there, he worked with numerous families, small-business owners, and entrepreneurs to build a multimillion-dollar business. Weekends often find him exploring the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia. During hunting season he can be found chasing elk in Oregon & whitetail in his home state of Tennessee while he daydreams about Alaskan moose and caribou hunts of days long gone. During his downtime, Steve is a habitual reader, enjoying all genres.
