After graduating with a B.A. Economics in 1999, he began his career in financial services as a Management Trainee at First National Bank Alaska. After only three years on the job, he was promoted to Assistant Vice-President of Commercial Lending at the bank’s corporate headquarters.

As a banker, Steve worked on some of the largest commercial transactions across the state. He was frequently called upon to consult federal, state, and municipal agencies, tribal governments, and even a U.S. Senator, all before the age of 30.

In 2003, Steve was recruited by Edward Jones Investments to manage and serve as Lead Financial Advisor of a small branch in his home state of Tennessee. While there, he worked with numerous families, small-business owners, and entrepreneurs to build a multimillion-dollar business. In his free time, he is an avid outdoorsman who particularly enjoys hiking, camping, and hunting. Weekends often find him exploring the beautiful Appalachian Mountains of Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia. During hunting season he can be found chasing elk in Oregon & whitetail in his home state of Tennessee while he daydreams about Alaskan moose and caribou hunts of days long gone. During his downtime, Steve is a habitual reader, enjoying all genres.
